Volunteers Needed
To Be a
Volunteer ...
Our focus is on providing
our animals with veterinary care, clean living conditions, exercise,
and socialization. We constantly strive to gain maximum exposure
with potential adopters to find these pets permanent, loving homes.
We educate pet owners on the importance of spaying/neutering,
vaccinations, preventative medications, and proper living conditions
for their new and existing pets.
With few staff members and sparse funding, the shelter can sometimes
just barely meet the basic needs of its inhabitants. That’s where
the volunteer group comes in. It is made up of different kinds of
people who give their time and talents to improve life for shelter
animals. For more information contact us at 587-2111
or complete the
Volunteer Registration
Form. Currently,
volunteer members are needed for the following:

- Provide social time for cats
- Provide foster homes for cats and dogs
- Clean cages
- Wait on potential adopters
- Post animals and shelter events on the
Internet
- Answer e-mail from adopters and volunteers
- Take animal photos; post them in local papers
and on the Internet

adoption days

Financial
Support ...
Monetary donations are greatly appreciated. All donations go
directly to help the animals (the vast majority going toward
veterinary care). No donation is too small to help! Please consider
giving a donation in the name of a deceased person or pet that you
loved. Also consider bequeathing some items or funds to the shelter
in your will. Your legacy will live on in the lives of innocent,
loving animals. Tax-deductible donations can be made to:
